Mickey’s to donate $40,000 to Blood Cancer United

July 6, 2026

Mickey’s, an Ohio-based convenience store and gas station chain, has raised $40,000 for Blood Cancer United to support its efforts in finding a cure for blood cancer. In collaboration with Avon Lake High School, Mickey’s ran a round-up campaign allowing customers to choose to donate at the register at any of its 42 locations. This campaign ran from November 2025 to January 2026.

Mickey’s is known for its philanthropic efforts with organizations at both the national and local levels.

Mickey’s owner and CEO, Dan Coles, says Mickey’s has always been community-focused, with philanthropy being at the core of Mickey’s mission:

“Blood Cancer United is a wonderful organization, and I couldn’t be happier to help support their mission. I’m grateful to Avon Lake High School for thinking of Mickey’s to help support their efforts and am proud of the work we accomplished together.”

The teams gathered at Windows on the River on March 14 for the Grand Finale Gala to reveal the total amount raised.
